Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy for telescopes, mount, tripods and accessories like photographic filters and adapters, guidescopes, autoguider cameras and focust masks, which means you have 30 days after receiving your these type of items to request a return or order cancellation. A 10% restocking fee plus return shipping will be deducted from the original method of payment refund for brand new products with original packaging that has been opened. For unopened brand new products and used products, the payment transaction fee and return shipping will be deducted from the original method of payment refund. Current transactions fees are 2.6% for debit and credit cards from US, 3.6% for American Express credit cards and international debits and credit cards, 3.49% for PayPal US transactions, 4.99% for PayPal international transactions and 5.9% for Shop Pay installments transactions. With cancelled orders before shipping, there is no shipping fee to be deducted. 


To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at astronomygear@gmail.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-refundable items
Any modified DSLR or Mirrorless digital camera sale is final. All modified DSLR and Mirrorless cameras are purchased modified and sold on-demand and have an estimated order fulfillment time of 10 business days. Any order cancellation request or return for a refund of these type of items are not accepted. The Astro-Conversion service is non-refundable after the work has been finished. If you change your mind after your camera has been shipped to our location but before the modification, we can cancel the order and issue a refund deducting any payment transaction fee (see the transactions fee rates in the paragraph above) and the return shipping cost to your address. Digital products (like astrophotography software) or gift cards are non-refundable. 

 

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have (only eligible items), and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
